The workshop in Ulaan Bataar Mongolia is a result of a VSO project which employ six women, who are probably the only wage earners in their families. Mongolians are mainly nomadic herders: drought conditions have led to loss of stock and livelihoods, driving them to Ulaan Bataar to find work. Unemployment is very high and projects such as this helps exports and provide much needed work. |
